2023 first race - Tour du Rwanda 2.1

Tartu 2024 Cycling Team's racing season 2023 starts on the 19th of February with the Tour of Rwanda (UCI 2.1). The African tour with eight stages takes place in a tropical climate and mountainous terrain on a high altitude. The longest stage is almost 200km long with over 4000m ascent. Twenty teams are starting the competition, 6 national teams from Rwanda, Algeria, Great Britain, South Africa, Morocco, Eritrea and the other teams are UCI Pro and Continental level teams like Team Total Energies and Israel Premier Tech. Top Competitors in the race are Vernon Ethan (winner of Trofeo Palma - Palma 1.1) and Chris Froom (4 time Tour de France winner). Tartu 2024 Cycling Team is lining up the Estonians Markus Pajur, Siim Kiskonen and Joonas Kurits for sprinting opportunities, the Latvian Alekss Krasts for more opportunistic stages and the Finnish climber Markus Knaapi.
