Aivaras Mikutis started his season in the colours of Lithuanian national team in Turkey and finished 10th of the 123km long GP Gazipasa (UCI 1.2). The race was won in a sprint finish by Onur Balkan (Sakarya BB Pro Team) ahead of Lakasek Irwandie (Terengganu Polygon Cycling team) and Gidich Yevgeniy (Kazakhstan national team). Our other Lithuanian Mantas Bitinas finished 84th.
Aivaras was the best U23 rider of the race and got to climb on the podium, he took also the first 3 pts in UCI Europe Tour classement.
Other team members are currently in Netherlands and they start tomorrow in the 199.2km long Visit Friesland Elfsteden Race (UCI 1.2), the official season opener for Team Ampler-Tartu2024.
